EUREKA SPRINGS, AR (PNAN) – Eureka Springs is ready to showcase its rich creative heritage this autumn. The fall season officially kicks off with the historic Ozark Folk Festival from September 4–6, 2026. Basin Spring Park will transform into a lively cultural hub featuring regional makers, traditional craftspeople, and live Ozarker music.

Visual arts take center stage on September 12, 2026, during the Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) Studio Stroll. This free public event invites visitors to explore professional ceramics, wood, and metal studios. Guests can watch live artistic demonstrations and meet 2D Artist in Residence Brian DePauli.

The weekend of September 18–19, 2026 brings the 6th Annual Fine Art in the Ozarks showcase to Rockspire. This free, two-day exhibition highlights regional painters and quilters. It features live plein air (outdoor) painting and a People’s Choice voting challenge centered on artwork of nearby Black Bass Lake.

Artists looking to sharpen their skills can join two community-focused events:

Downtown Urban Sketchers Meetup (September 27, 2026): A free, informal community drawing session at Basin Spring Park open to all skill levels.

ESSA Urban Sketching Workshop (October 24, 2026): A structured educational workshop focusing on loose architectural sketching and watercolor wash techniques.

“Eureka Springs has always been a sanctuary for makers and art lovers,” says AAPJ Editor. “This fall season perfectly captures the town’s spirit. They are blending free community events with elite fine art showcases that celebrate the natural beauty of the Ozarks.”

Many of these events are free to the public. For workshop registrations, scheduling details, and lodging information, see: www.visiteurekasprings.com
