Miami Valley photo show opens soon

     (NWPR-OH) – “Through Our Eyes: Life in Miami Valley” opens on Sunday, October 12 at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center in Troy, Ohio. This annual photography exhibit becomes number eight and will open at 1:00 pm.

     The show’s juror is photographer Bill Woody of Beavercreek. The awards will be presented at 2:30 pm for Best of Show, First, Second, Third place and

Honorable Mention in each of the five categories: Rural Life, Urban Life, Abstracts, Life in the Miami Valley and Youth. No admission and open to the public, the show with over 100 photographs, will remain on view through November 28.

     In conjunction, Hayner will kick off from 1:3o-5:00 pm, a celebration on National Arts and Humanities month with other community organizations.  There will be art activities for children and their families, an art show and sale by members of the Troy Arts Alliance, downtown walking tours of stained glass windows, and the “Art is Everywhere” scavenger hunt.  Calendars of all of the Arts & Humanities activities happening in our community will be distributed.
