Fair to feature regional artists

     (AAPNW) – The fifth annual “Art on the Wabash, a Local Artists Fair” opens at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 19 in the Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette, Indiana. The ‘Fair’ will be featuring works by 38 artists through 4:00 pm. Free parking  is available in the Wabash Landing parking garage for those attending the fair, including as usual, free admission to all as well as artists will be available to lead discussions about their works.

    “Art on the Wabash has quickly earned a reputation for showcasing high-caliber artists and art in this area,” said Beverly Shaw, Art on the Wabash committee chair. “The variety of media and artistic interpretations represented will cover the spectrum. And items will range from functional to decorative, whimsical to classical, and every one uniquely creative.”

     Artists from a 15-county area were invited to apply for the fair and were chosen in a juried process by Nathan Boyd Jones, a professional Hoosier artist, who is also an assistant professor of art at Earlham College in Richmond. Those artists selected are: Glass: Sharon Owens, Deb Achgill and Gary Achgill; Gourd: Debby Remsburg; Jewelry: Elizabeth Beeson, Kathryn Bodine, Linda Elmore, Lisa Hopkins, Beth McCord, Evie McCord, and Joanne Kuhn Titolo; Mixed media: Terri Duncan and Sara Vanderkleed;
