Eat, drink and merry event is for the children

     (AAPNW) –  On Tuesday, October 26 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, in the Beatrice Knapp McDowell Grand Lobby at the Akron Art Museum, “Grape Expectations” opens with the flow of casual wine, food tasting and a silent auction. The proceeds will directly benefit the school tour program.

   Presented by Lexus, the event will feature a variety of wines, beers and spirits, including music provided by Heather Burns of 91.3 The Summit. In addition, heavier hors d’oeuvres will be provided by a variety of area restaurants: Café Bricco, Vegiterranean, Robert J. Catering Hook, Line & Drinkers, Sushi on the Roll, 3-Point, The Galaxy, P.F. Chang’s, and Acme Fresh Market Catering.

     With the purchase of a ticket, non-members will automatically receive a one-year green membership to the museum. Tickets can be purchased online at www.AkronArtMuseum.org/wine or by calling 330.376.9186 x222. Parking is free after 6:00 pm in the High Street municipal garage across the street from the museum.
