(PNAN-AL) – The music will be flowing, songs will be sung, speeches of gratitude will be given, culinary delights will be savored, and even children’s faces will be painted. The phrase, “Good things come to those who wait,” is a shoe-fitter for the Huntsville Museum of Art. The year-long plus build it, the “Davidson Center for the Arts,” wing will be unveiled twice over the November weekend, beginning on Saturday the 20th in the “Members First Preview Party” and on Sunday, 21st, at 2:00 pm, Mayor Battle cuts the ribbon to signify ‘let the games begin’ as the official public Grand Opening, a community celebration for the Arts.
The ‘Members Party’ is from 6:00-11:00 pm, featuring music from Phil Weaver, Ken Watters Band and DJ Steve Metz, including foods from local eateries in “The Art of Taste.” In addition, new exhibitions will take to the walls and other spaces in the Center. On Sunday and as a special thank you, all is free to our community throughout the afternoon, ranging with activities for the kids, the new interactive, “ART LAB” children’s gallery, performances by the Huntsville Youth Orchestra and the Huntsville High School Show Choir, refreshments and at 4:00 pm, a gallery tour of her exhibit, “Rebels With a Cause: American Impressionist Women,” will be given by Sue Sellars Rice.

The advertising campaign was deemed a critical success and with the support of Progress Bank, Lockheed Martin and Cumulus Broadcasting, the opening celebration of Davidson Center for the Arts, made possible for all, is even for those in a hurry, but they are willing to wait.
