Region unveils Fall and Winter Cultural and Arts lineup

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN (PNAN) – The International Falls region is set to come alive this fall and winter with a vibrant lineup of cultural celebrations, live theater, and iconic community festivals. From visual arts and stellar nighttime photography to touring musicians and zany winter traditions, residents and visitors will find an abundance of creative experiences across the Borderland.

“Our fall and winter lineup highlights the incredibly diverse creative energy that thrives right here in the Borderland,” said Jennifer “JJ” McBride, Executive Director of the International Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. “Whether we are showcasing local artisans at our harvest markets or drawing crowds for world-class musicians and the signature zaniness of Icebox Days, these events bring people together and shine a bright light on our unique regional culture.”

Embrace the Brrr: The 46th Annual Icebox Days

In mid-January 2027, International Falls officially embraces its title as the “Icebox of the Nation” with the return of its world-famous winter festival. Combining community art, performance, and quirky athletic feats, the festival features the notoriously cold Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard Run (5K and 10K), frozen turkey bowling, locally invented “smoosh” races, and a magical candlelight evening ski through Voyageurs National Park.
