Colors of a city to shine with events

     (PNAN) – The Hudson Valley is mecca of artistic talent, including Kingston, New York where a biennial citywide custom begins with the Arts Society of Kingston’s 2010 Open Studio Tour on Saturday, October 2 between 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. OST was born out two ASK members, curator Sadee Brathwaite and designer Emily Flynn, who are committed to developing community arts projects.

     Currently there is over 25 artists on the roster, including Jane Bloodgood-Abrams, Kevin Cook, Carol Pepper-Cooper, Katharine McKennna, Magnus Agustsson, Suzanne Paddock, Ray Curran, Tania Kravath, Patti Gibbons, Stacie Flint, and Melissa Reed, who are opening their studios with demonstrations and talks, including self works on display.

     In conjunction with the OST kickoff at ASK, new exhibits begin in the Members’ Lounge Gallery with, “Selections from the Studio Tour” and “The Mask Show”  in the Main Gallery. An opening reception for both is between 5:00-8:00 pm. The shows stay on view through October.
