(AAPNW) – The Dublin Arts Council puts Ohio artists on notice about the new series in the public artwork program, entitled the “Riverboxes Tributary Project” that will be installed in April 2011 in the Kaltenbach and Homestead Parks in Dublin. Artists are encouraged to express their intent to Janet Cooper by email: cooper@dublinaarts.org by Friday, October 1 for the commission that will consist of three new Riverboxes. Part of “Ripple Effect: Artistic Impact of the Scioto River”, the Riverboxes are permanent, three-dimensional site-specific public artworks that contain an artist-made stamp and journal. DAC provides clues and public information about the location of the Riverboxes to engage the community in search, exploration and discovery, where participants combine map-reading or GPS skills and artistic pursuit with ‘treasure hunts’ in scenic locations.
