Authors to tell and ink creations

AMHERST, MA (PNAN) – Set for Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, Corinne Demas as she shares her newest picture book The Perfect Tree which is also illustrated by Penelope Dullaghan.

Demas is the award-winning author of thirty-six books, including numerous picture books, such as, “Saying Goodbye to Lulu”, “The Littlest Matryoshka”, and “The Disappearing Island.      On Saturday, December 17, 2022, Tiffany Jewell will talk about her new book, “The Antiracist Kid” which teaches young children the words, language, and methods to recognize racism and injustice, and what to do when they encounter it at home, at school, and in the media they watch, play and read.

Jewell is a Black biracial writer, twin sister, first generation American, cisgender mama, anti-bias antiracist (ABAR) educator. She is the author of the #1 New York Times and #1 Indie Best Seller, “This Book Is Anti-Racist” which is a book for young folks as well as everyone to support waking up, taking action, and doing the work of becoming antiracist.
