Artist earns national recognition

ANCHORAGE, AK (PNAN) – Alaska carver and interdisciplinary artist Erin Ggaadimits Ivalu Gingrich, awarded the 2025 Eiteljorg Contemporary Art Fellowship.

A frequent collaborator with the Anchorage Museum, Gingrich has contributed to How to SurviveStories for Climate Justice, Indigenous Foodways and more.

Her work, currently on view in the Art of the North galleries, reflects deep advocacy for Alaska Native peoples and the natural world.
