KETTERING, OH (NWPR) – On view through Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Rosewood Gallery are solo exhibitions, “Prim and Proper” with Ali Hval and “Through Precarious Passages” with Jesse Egner. Additionally upcoming, will be Artist’s Talks will be at 5:00 pm and a reception is also slated for Thursday, January 5 at 6:00 pm.
Hval of Iowa City, IA pushes the boundaries of adornment, both of the body and of space through her multi-media sculpture, utilizing gemstones, fabrics, feathers and other sensual materials, while Egner of Brooklyn, NY, through photography and video “explores themes of queerness, disidentification, queer corporeality and the uncanny.”

Note: Opening on Monday, January 16 through February 24, 2023 at the Rosewood, will be the 33rd Annual “Works on Paper” juried exhibition for artists living within a 40-mile radius of Dayton. The exhibition features two-and three-dimensional works of art on or of paper. Artist awards totaling $1,100 will be selected by the juror and gallery visitors will select a People’s Choice Award.
