WHERE: The Emerging Visual Artists Gallery is located in the Bruce H. Lien Cultural Café, Dahl Arts Center and can be accessed through the Kansas City entrance.

WHEN: Through March 31, 2013. Note: There will be a reception for the artist on Wednesday, March 13, at 5:00 pm.

TITLE: Mirror, Mirror, an Emerging Visual Artists Exhibit

BRIEF ABOUT: Works by Gina Gibson, ( who is Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota where she teaches Graphic Design, are on view. “My current body of work consists of digitally manipulated photographs. I captured the photographs on a recent trip to Japan. I went into this work without preconceived notions about what the end result should be. Aesthetically, I am interested in abstraction, repetition, pattern, and color,” says Gibson.

     The Emerging Visual Artists Program showcases the talents of local artists and provides a cohesive structure to help artists organize, plan and sustain creative careers, and increase satisfaction in their art practices and careers.
