Queens of the Night, giant serpents, a prince, a young maiden who needs rescuing, a bird catcher dressed as a bird, hot air balloons, mysterious cults and a magic flute.

The Magic Flute opens each evening and manages musically to depict all the exciting experiences, joy, madcap confusion, and downright silliness of his last great completed work.

Brahms’s Symphony No. 3 concludes the program.
