BRIEF ABOUT: As an initiative of Main Street Van Wert, its mission is to serve as a venue for local and regional artists to showcase and sell their work, and a gallery for the public to visit as well as purchase unique artworks such as glassware, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, handmade tote bags and purses etc, including recently added hand-carved walking sticks by woodcarver Burdette Bolenbaugh that features the face of a “wood spirit.” Run by volunteers, the Van Wert Arts Factory is open 2:00-4:00 pm on Fridays and weekday mornings, or by appointment.
