Selectors and Selectees to show together

Shown are two works by April Gornik (left) and nine by Lucy Winton (right) from 2009 exhibition. For this year on Saturday, August 20 at the exhibition gala opening at 6:00 pm, Parrish Director Terrie Sultan will introduce a film of studio interviews with the fourteen artists selected for this exhibition. A reception with wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live music will follow.

     (PNAN-NY) – Opening Sunday, August 21 at the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, New York, “Artists Choose Artists” is an exhibition that celebrates the region’s long tradition of artistic creativity and innovation, including a reflection of the Museum’s mission: “…Fostering a sense of community consistent with the area’s unique heritage…”

     By exhibiting the work of jurors and selected artists together, Alice Aycock (, Kryn Olson, Mike Solomon, Ross Bleckner (, Mary Ellen Bartley, Renate Aller, Dan Rizzie (, Tad Wiley, Ross Watts, Matthew Satz (, Liliya Lifanova, Terry Elkins, Gary Simmons, Melinda Hackett, Perry Burns, Agathe Snow (, Alice Hope, Nella Khanis, Frank Wimberley(, Fulvio Massi and Julie Small-Gamby, the show highlights artists in all career stages.
